Help

Post by BigJon »

Hi guys,
In the process of a new build , in the form of a Tamiya 1/35 Nashorn, and I'm going to paint it in winter camouflage , as the figures are in winter uniform.
My question is, what colour primer should I use, because I know that lime was used to camouflage . I thought maybe black, pushing through to give a good weathering look. but your thoughts would be much appreciated .

I'd say most people would paint the normal cam colours, then the winter coat on top of that. Reason being, the winter coat was easily worn off, showing the normal cam paint underneath.

There are LOTS of YouTube vids showing how to do a 'winter look' AFV, HTH.

Many thanks for that advice mate. Looking at the picture on the box, the wearing camouflage , shows a dark colour, almost grime, but what you say, makes a lot of sense.maybeill do a norm camouflage and then a light spraying of flat white. Cheers bro.
