Picked this kit up at a swap meet for $10 because it was old, second hand and had no decals. The colour scheme was from Wings Palette ( http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/f/122/78/3 ). It was a pretty straight forward build, an older kit, good detailers could do a lot with it.

Great job with this old kit! I love the paint job!

This winter camo is quite unique. I think only few Brewsters were painted it like this. Usually they just covered the black areas with white. Here's a picture of this camo pattern "in action".

Cheers Ollie. That's the second attempt at getting the patterning right. Looking at your pick I could have another go. I do like some of the options there in Wings Palette, its a good resource.

wonderful cammo scheme! How did you come to airbrush it like that? I'll be doing a winter camo stuka as a friend's birthday present and haven't found the way to do it as precise as yours!

Hey ncf,

Trial and error. But, I guess the way i'd do it again is:
1. Prime and pre shade,
2. Paint white
3. Clear coat
4. Mask pattern with blu tak/maskol (I put down a small ball and dragged the edges out with a flat edged tool),
5. apply colour/camo as required
6. remove the masks and see how it went.

Hope that helps mate. Its funner than it sounds.

I've been mucking around with a couple of vids on You Tube, i'll try and do a vid this weekend to show you how I did it. I'm better at doing than explaining.
