Hi all, I'm trying to get decals to conform to a curved surface but having difficulty as the decal seems to kink up at the edge, see photo below around the rear seat cowl, I've tried micro set & sol but to no winning at all, any help would be gratefully received before I lose it.

Have you tried some X20A thinner?

How or what does adding that do? Softener?

Some times on contoured and profiled surfaces, I cut small slits around the periphery of the decal before applying. This allows the decal edges to be manipulated to remove the creases.

I've always used "Walthers" solvaset solution which has worked excellently for all my decals, even on decals that other modelers have indicated problems with.

This is a link to the Walthers solution that I use; https://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/904-470

Hope this helps? :)

Thanks for the info, I never thought of cutting the decals around the edge.
