HELP!! My wings keep falling off!

Well not quite, but I'm having lots of problems with the Revell Mistrel kit that I'm building.

Sorry I can't upload a pic as I'm at home and can't remember the file names. You can see the problem here,

Basically I'm left with a gap of about 4mm at the wing roots. Filler fills it nicely, but the wing is only attached by the bottom wing skin, so any flexing of the wing (like sanding) cracks the filler.

I've tried different filler and even dug out a channel and filled it with super glue. But everything I've tried so far has cracked again.

Any suggestions? Pleeeeeeeese.

I would cut a strip of styrene that is the same width as the gap and as thick as possible. You can then glue this to the wing and the fuselage and should get a strong joint. An added bonus is that if you make it thick enough so you can sand it to the shape of the wing you will need less putty and have less risk that the putty shrinks over time. Sort of the same that I did on my Ju88, last post on the first page here http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=269&t=5189

I agree with John
This should give the strongest bond
I only suggest that you use a thick glue that is strong
If you use TET it might be weaker
Good luck

Thanks guys.
