Homemade Paint Rack

Post by robertw »

Didn't do any building today. At least not with plastic. Instead I made a paint rack for my newly acquired selection of Tamiya paints. I'm no wood worker guy and I've only ever done a handful of wood projects but that was 6,7, or 8 years ago. It was supposed to hold 40 jars but due to the way I built it it was off slightly and only holds 36 jars :wall: I was pretty ticked off. Somehow it took me all day. Like literally. Started at I think 1 PM and finished at like 8 PM. At least now I don't have to go digging through a drawer when I'm ready to spray. :cheers2:

Better than anything I could ever do; you should've seen some of my junior high wood shop projects. :jd:

I dunno if you'd want one or not. Let alone three. I just took a decent picture that hid it's flaws lol If you have access to some basic power tools you could build one yourself. Trust me, if I can, anybody can.

I'm still wondering how it took so long to make it. Of course there was a lot of head scratching and going hmmmm.

I think I might build another one in a few weeks a log the process for other people to reference.

Nah, you could do it. My dad would ask me questions about it as I was building it and I'd just say "I don't know, I haven't got that far yet. I'm just wingin it." As long as you can read a tape measure or ruler and not cut off a finger you can't really go wrong.

Junior high was pretty much the last time I did any wood projects. But I prefer not to remember back then lol
