Open new window or tab when clicking links?

Is there a setting that I can change to open a new window or tab when I click a link? I know I can do it by holding the CTRL key when I click but it's a bit annoying when I forget to do so. Every other board I use is set up to do this, it's only when I come here that it happens.

Or...wait a second, there IS one other board where the same thing happens - and it also happens to be a UK based board. Is this maybe a UK thing?

There no option I know of, can't stand forums that do that anyway, find it really annoying

If you are using a PC I know that all you need to do is [right] click on a link and a window will pop up to "open link in new tab"or "open link in new window"
