Hobby Boss 1/35 M1070 truck tractor & M1000 HET semi-trailer

My D9R build is on hold (ordered parts). While I'm waiting, I'll start on the M1070.
I have the Eduard interior set #36214, I'm waiting on the engine and correct transfer case from Real Model. I may order some other detail parts from ET Model (DUKE antenna, interior set, etc.). Still undecided on getting resin tires or not.

Parts for the D9R should be here tomorrow. Still waiting on the parts for the M1070.

The Real Model M1070 engine and correct transfer case arrived on Saturday.
I'll shelve the D9R (thinking about selling the kit) and build the M1070/M1000.
I still might order one more detail set for the HET from Voyager. It has to do with detailing the trailer, I may also scratch build the details. I cleaned and reorganized my work bench so I can devote all my time to this build. I also found very good reference material which to use. If anybody is looking, let me know and I'll post the link.

I have officially started my build. I'm presently looking at reference photos and comparing them to the instructions/parts to see what I need to modify or what option I want. One example is the different types of marker lights on the trailer. I'm also looking at other builds online and see what they did. I haven't decided what paint scheme I'm going with but I really like the look of the NATO black/green/brown on primeportal.net. I'll start the physical build sometime this week. Right now I'm making notes in the instructions so I won't have any issues later when it comes to building this beast. There are some errors in the instructions that I found when reading through a build online. I marked the corrections in the instructions.

While looking at reference diagrams, the trailer is that of a US Army version and not the USMC version.
I'm going to have a close look at the sprues and see if the USMC parts are there but missing from the instructions.
