That seems like one hell of a nice kit. Good luck with the build.
Love that black and white agressor theme.
Fly here myself in the sim.

Love the F-16 and that colour scheme, but if you fancy a challenging paint scheme then check out the Turkish F-16. Hopefully this one turns up at the RIAT this year so I can get plenty of snaps. Anyway good work can't wait to see it finished.

Such a lovely kit.
Cool Turkish colour scheme, it was at Waddington last weekend so I'll bet the next stop will be RIAT

Very nice did you do it yourself or is it decals? either way it's still one of the best paint schemes for the F-16 :thumb1:
graham22 wrote:Starting to look more like an F16 now, not sure if I will use the pilot yet,
It may just be the picture you've taken but the pilot looks like he's wearing a welding mask  No doubt when you're finished, with or without pilot it will look spot on.

Managed to get the next colour on the F16
Image
Then decided to hand paint the black
All good so far
Then I tried to remove the masking on the white
Oh dear, major repair work needed :bash:
But the grey and black look pretty good

the issue with the white - i used Micromask which unfortunently stuck like glue - which lifted the white paint off
where is came off well it worked - i mignt try with Maskol from Humbrol - but maybe on a test subject next time
as for Micromask - 2 options - 1 bin it - or 2 just use on glass work.
oh well we live and learn

maybe letting it sit longer or covering it with a clear coat first? just thoughts. I wouldn't have thought to use micromask for camo work though - saves on the tape, and the time. if you go for Maskol, let us know how that works out. I had a similar thing happen to a cockpit i was working on. decided to give it a quick hair-brushing of clear and ended up wiping away all the work done with Tamiya paint... the vallejo and citadel stayed put, but the tamiya washed away like it was nothing - and it had been done about 4 hours prior... decided to leave it as it created a really cool and 'worn' look - which unfortunately wouldn't work on camo so well...

hope you get it sorted, excited to see more progress!

I worked with that F-16 unit this summer at Red Flag Alaska. I loved watching those aggressors flying around! They had this paint scheme and flanker blues. I wonder if the T-Shirt I bought from them has the same tail number as your model. That would be cool!

Shame you're not local as I could bring mine round for you to decal :nena:  Looking sweet and unlucky about the probe but it will go back on without a problem. Not much more for you to do, oh and are your horizontals detachable?

Yes the horizontals fit by a nylon bush and pin so removed so I don't break them off
