This is meant to be a fast in-between build before the Vietnam-GB starts and armour in 1/72 is so cute! This was the second kit I bought when I returned to the hobby but I havent got around to build it yet, but it's time! Should also say that this is my first ever AFV build!

Here are the mandatory sprue shots:

Look how small this thing is!

The first thing that baffles me are the decals. The decals includes decals for the one on the box and also decals for a UN-vehicle.

Image

But when I look at the color guide in the instructions, there are only the camoflaged one

Image

Im confused! If anyone out there has the instructions of the Trumpeter 1/35 LAV-25 with the UN markings, can you please PM me? Would be awesome.

Anyway, I started building today and its already go for priming.

Image

Really fiddly to do the underside in this scale.

Image

This is not a huge kit...

Image

Ready for priming. I will use the rattle can primer from Tamiya and I probably will have to wait til I get the opportunity due to weather and family.

until next time,
cheers

Priming is done with Tamiyas excellent rattle-can primer (the white fine version). The surface is excellent, smooth like a babys ass but still takes the color nicely.

Image

Painting is done using vallejo model color and citadel metallics. I put some coates of thin white atop of the primer since the primer was "too" smooth if you know what I mean  Some minor details to paint, then its off to pledge and preparing for decals.

Image

The mounted machine gun is really tiny and difficult to paint, but its very rewarding.

Image

Thats all for now, until next time,

cheers
