Tienkou tribute build

Hi all,
This was my dog Tienkou (japanese for heavenly dog), she passed away on Friday evening.

So I'm making something to remember her even more, this airfix 1/72 Bf 109 kit will be painted in her satin finished black and rust (citadel dry ryza rust as a base), no decals, and no weathering.

today was going to have been her 14th birthday.

here's where i'm up to now.
i'm really sorry about this and future pics folks. when i look at the picture on the preview screen everything's in focus...then on the computer it goes terrible...and i'm not spending 10 mins trying to get one perfect pic!
so, the interior has been painted (tamiya XF-63 german grey...handpainted. yes, you can paint tamiya acrylics perfectly by brush), it might not be accurate...but the camo won't be either. it's all about the love.
another update or 2 tomorrow folks...

Condolences, feel for you bud
A pet is a family member and we are so close to them
You got 14 great years to spend with her, cherished memories and now a great tribute model
I have a young Berner and will be lucky to get half the lifespan with her..... and I have that in the back of my mind all the time

thank you so much guys, it really means a lot.
here's todays update on my Tienkou tribute build...
almost completely built.JPG
as you can see it's almost completely built, just needs the .....the...whateveryacall'ems...

don't know the name at all.
then the canopy needs masking up and stuck on so painting can begin...the completed model will be in a case with a little plaque on the front, next to a framed picture of her. A friend suggested putting decals of her face on...if (a big if) my printer is of good enough quality i'll do it for sure...if not, it'll be the same basic painted kit,
more tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Like the other guys said, your pet becomes part off the family.
Beautifull name by the way.
Great idea, this tribute build. Looking forward seeing it finished and painted. Sure it's going to look great.
