I like the figure in it. I have seen so many photos of the depiction or close to it that I had to do it. I am absolutely terrible with figure painting having no real practice with it. But I think I did ok here. I need to practice a hell of a lot but you got to start somewhere.

I can't show the photos I have in mind of the dead crew and so on but you would be very surprised at how people's bodies stay in weird positions. There is even debate as to whether people crumple up into a ball as a response but that is entirely to morbid to discuss here. He is very dead. As dead as a parrot.

As for the position of the corpse, I know from personal experience that they end up in all sorts of odd positions.
Rigour and extreme heat can contort the body into really bizarre positions.
