RAF Ouston, England 1948.

Here’s my rendition of the great little F Mk 22 Spitfire from Airfix, brush Painted in the normal markings rather than the Cooper Trophy of 1948 option. Unusually for me I tried to apply a pin wash.













I chose this finish to go alongside a picture which has been hanging on my wall for close on 30 years now, nice that Airfix could eventually produce a kit in the markings I have been waiting on since then.



The fit of the kit was exemplary and would recommend it to anyone,

Its one of their better ones Tim - I built this one as NMF (using Tamiya XF16) came out ok - but John has done a much better job here!
