So here is the final reveal of my build in memory of the U-Boat arm of the Kriegsmarine and the desperate, little recognized battle they fought against the supply lines of the allied armies in the immediate weeks following D-day. In case you haven't already seen it the story and footage of U-390 can be found in my build thread.
So here are the photos of the completed build, painted with Mr Hobby Aqueous and weathered with a dark dirt wash and rust streaks applied with burnt sienna oil paint. This was the first time I have used oil paint rust method and I think I have overdone it somewhat especially on a model of this scale. However it looks OK if you aren't too close.

And finally one to show the scale of the completed build.

Overall this was a nice build with some delicate photoetch to get right. However the PE really adds to the final look of the finished article and is well worth the effort over using the plastic parts. I will definitely be building some more of these little models in the future. Hope you enjoyed the build and the finished model and as always any comments and constructive advice are welcome.
