Greetings from Denmark

Post by Paraplax »

Hi all.

I use to build plastic models when I was a kid, however once in the teens I outgrew it. Started again a few years back, however I quickly felt trapped in plastic hell, didn't feel there was much craftsmanship when following 3 pages of detailed instruction and everything was cut and premade, so I started building wooden ships instead. I few months back I stumbled over Paul Bretland on YouTube making a Corsair and my interest in plastic kits was awaken once again, so I quickly went out and purchased airbrush, compressor, paints and washes and started practicing on a Revell 1/32 Spitfire mk2 kit, which I'm close to completing. This is my first time actually trying to weather a model and I think I'm struggling with exhaust stains. Guess I just have to practice some more.

I'm thinking on the Trumpeter 1/32 P-38 lightning for my next build or do any of you have any suggestions? I've never done tanks, however the camo paint is kind of scary to do I reckon and I'm without compressor at the moment, as the one I purchased seemed to be faulty, overheating and spewing water through the AB when painting at very low psi.

Kind regards

Christopher. (Chris)
