Hey Hey and Shalom Y'all

[Akula1959]

Just a returning (I hope and pray) to the world of modelling old fart.

I am 55y/o and live with my niece and her family here in lovely Mooresville NC.

I am at best a willing to learn noob to modelling. I've been in and out so many times I swear it's sickening. Mostly I am on hold for anything until A-toddlers grow up and B-cashflow gets less than screamingly tight.

My niece has two lovely younguns 6y/o (my godson) and a 3 almost 4y/o curly haired angel. I learned the painfully hard way, modelling and younguns DO NOT MIX. (weeps quiet tears over a dead 1/25 scale Tiger 1 and destroyed by a 3y/o boy)

I am single, with a near 24y/o son (aka Tiger Killer). I LOVE joking around and having fun, sometimes serious literally flies out the window.

I DO have issues. I have not left the house since we moved here in 2010, I am intensely demophobic and agoraphobic. I am a disabled veteran and help my niece's family with the basics of household finances.

Experience in modelling, spotty at best. I have had some models I was VERY proud of the effort I put into them and the way they turned out. Then there were those... A NATO blue F-16 being one of the worst. I LOVE doing kit bashing and was using 1/72 and 1/76 scale models for my other love RPG gaming (Twilight 2000, my LAV75 in 72/76 scale looked freaking epic)

Currently I am starting to rebuild my toolkit first. I have 2 X-Actos and about 5 or 6 other needed items in that department and hope to start a new kit by next year.

I hope to learn more tips, ESPECIALLY with wear effects and dirt, maybe looking to start a diorama or 2.

I learned of this by watching Coen's videos and remembering the fun, peace, and satisfaction modelling gave me. Kudos to Coen for re-awakening me. I hope to see every video you have done.

Cool. I will check more out and those later. I GOT to get a nap before the kids wake up for another day of stress. LOL.
