I forgot to get the figure for the backseat in the video, so:



He reminds me a bit of Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heroes.

I was wondering if anybody will go for a staff car.
They look greart. And with a general too! I assume you going to put a driver in. Right?

So a bit of an update:



Most of the frame and engine are done. This kit doesn't have great (if any, at times) mounting indicators. An example: the rear of the motor housing includes two "wings" that attach to the frame. The housing and the rear of the engine at that point are both perfectly round and there is no lock tab, so you could spin the housing 360 degrees. Even mounting this 1 degree off will twist the whole frame. The cross members aren't much better as a result it's a fight to keep the frame straight and I won't know he good of a job I've done at that until I put everything together.



Same problem with the windshield/dash assemble, it could go on at a number of angles. The instructions don't call for the side doors to go on until much later, I put the door in place (dry fitted) to make sure I had the right angle. Once it started to set I pulled the door out.

Most of the rail/grab handles had at least one of each pair break coming off the sprue or while sanding along with the gear shifter, so I had to bend some wire.

The good news: THE GENERAL WILL FIT! I wanted to see if he had clearance for the legs so I glued the boots on and dropped him in to see.



The figure has locating holes and pins on the legs/boots and shoulders/arms. Only the waist will have to be done on the fly. I like the pins, even after dry test fitting work with CA doesn't leave a lot of time and anything that helps get things lined up more quickly is a thumbs up in my book.



General and side doors in place temporarily, just to give an idea of the size of this thing, it's a beast. Based on the driveline it's basically a truck with a car body.

Looks like a comfartable ride so far fur herr general.

I got the chrome on one side done, except the window frames:





Who knew the Germans were that into bling 80 years ago. Chrome the wheels and change the seat covers and this would be a dream ride for a 1970s Detroit pimp.

Almost done:



Waiting on the decals to dry (the flags will need a spot of glue to keep them from sliding down the poles) and then another layer of gloss over the bodywork. Then I'll brush some matte varnish onto the tires, the seats will get some satin varnish.

BTW - I've changed it's name to ZuhälterWagon.
