LAV-150 1/35 [Hobby Boss]

Greetings!
I thought it was time for my first building report, so i want to share my new project!
My new project is the LAV-150 Commando AFW w/ Cockerill 90mm Gun. It is from Hobby Boss in 1/35 scale, and also my first model kit from Hobby Boss in that scale.
This will be also the first time i will use oil colors for weathering!
Sadly there is no background information about this vehicle in the kit, so i can't tell you so much about it - all i know is: This vehicle is aviable in 16 configurations (mortar, recovery, command etc.) and it can swim!
Yes, i can sure google informations about it, but i am too lazy for that xD
However, before i start, there is one thing i want to ask. I heard people saying that Trumpeter and Hobby Boss are the same. I builded a Trumpeter kit once, and if i compare these both kits, there are indeed similarity between them. Also their Facebook page is named "Trumpeter and Hobby Boss fanclub".
Now my question is: What is the difference between both companies/kits?

A few informations about this kit:
Scale: 1/35
Parts: 250
Lenght/Width/Height: 189x73x85mm
Material: Plastic
Decals: None
Steps: 13
PET: Yes
Additional informations: 4x Vinyl Wheels, 1 Photo Etched Part, 1 Bronze(OR Metal) Chain (not sure).
The Kit

Since there is only one version for painting, i will choose this one.

It has a few interior details like a driver area and an engine. They are good detailed and fast finished.

I want to build my vehicle "in battle". So all hatches will be closed - also because there are no figures.
So i painted everything just in black and leave it that way, you won't see so much interior later anyways.

This is my progress so far, hope you enjoy it - i will keep it up to date of course
