Good evening all,
My girlfriend, being the lovely being she is, gave me for my birthday this kit, after we saw the display in Shoreham earlier this year.
She didnt know its reputation.

If this is the same as the previous versions (re-boxed), be prepared for a lot of filling and sanding. Trust me - it is a bit of a bitch to build, especially the engine intakes. Raised panel lines and lateral joints are a nightmare.
I would be interested to know if this model still has the TFR nipple on it and the 301 series engine exhaust cowlings ?
Here is a review of the XM607 version

Good luck

Thank you Syntax and Puj.
Indeed it has that nipple on the nose. I didnt know it wasnt on the version im building until it was too late.
I have almost completed the kit. Just some stencils left to add and two of the landing gear covers. I did it a while ago but didnt have the time to upload progress.
Filler/sanding galore indeed. I think i filled/sanded the intake joins over 10 times over a week until they were almost acceptable. Only a small spot is still visible (photos to follow) as i reached the "its good enough or ill smash it" mentality.
Currently working on airfix bf109 in 1 48 so no idea when ill do last stencils and base for it.
Thanks for looking
Sergio
