Tamiya Yamaha RD-350

Post by muskegman »

Usually I build aircraft, tanks and almost everything else but this was a first for me thanks to an old friend in England who sent me this kit.
An older kit with a date of 1981 on the box. No flash at all and as usual with Tamiya everything fit perfectly.
I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed building this kit even though at first I didnt think I would.
When I got close to the end I realized that one of the "Yamaha" fuel tank decals was missing so the right side dosent have one on the tank, not the end of the world but was annoying. If anyone has a spare Yamaha lettering for the fuel tank let me know.

Very nicely done, Tamiya make some great bike kits
So realistic that if you put it on concrete and took a close up angle, couldn't tell it was a model

Bad luck or unlucky with the missing decal, but you have done a very nicw build. The seat looks very cool. Nice to change things up sometimes to get your mojo back.

great work!! :th:

amazing work!

question. did you use the chrome parts, or did you strip them and re-paint with Alclad or something? The metallic pieces look shiny and awesome!
Great job :thumb2:
