Shot down Me Bf 109 E

This was a first timer in many ways, it was my first ac, first combat damage and first time trying to simulate water, circa 2007.
The tail was replaced with a wire frame and aluminum foil, it was easily damaged, also some light and inaccurate fuselage interior.
The 109 is from Revell and the water is a spanish resin product from the Andrea brand.
Painted with Tamiya and weathered with oils and pastels.
Looking at it now I realize that the vegetation is out of scale, I had no idea what I was doing back then...and still dont know nowadays hahaha.
It was a really fun proyect.
cheers!

Oh my goodness! Are you serious?!
This is fantastic man!
What a sublime work you done here. Love the bullet holes in the canopy. Water looks great with leaves in it. Great presentation as well.
Just wow.

That is awesome work man! Please post your method for the water. Some day I'll be brave enough to put holes in a model and bend up the prop. How did you bend the prop?

In one word: beautifull
I don't think the green is out off scale, just tell everyone it's a bush

You're way to critical of yourself bud. Even if your skills were still a work in progress (which they probably always will be.. I hope. Mine too), it's an excellent piece.
If I saw that on the table at a show it would certainly make me stop and take a nice long look.
It's a fine piece bud.

Thanks for the feedback guys!
The water was "built" in many thin layers of colored resin, in order to achieve depth the first layers had a mix of tamiya acrylics (cant remember the color!) the following layers had less paint and the last 3 layers no color at all.
The resin was from Andrea a spanish brand, it consisted of a two part mix, pretty damn easy to use.

Hope this helps!

Agree with Chief. What a lovely piece of modelling: a simple idea but superbly executed.
