Oh my Gosh... it's an Oshkosh (1:35 M-ATV) {finished}

For some reason I am really digging MRAP's at the moment. (MRAP= Mine Resistant Ambush Protected). Mraps are now the new workhorses and they are specially designed with a V-hull to withstand IEDs. My favorite looker is the Oshkosh M-atv.
This is one mighty build, so many little fiddly bits ( but those who know me know i love working with small bits

). I have to be extra careful as the instructions are not trustworthy. Kit has many many parts, some with flash that I have to clean up. Lucky the plastic is quite soft so cleaning is simple.
I really hope to deliver this superb looking vehicle .... but most of all, I pray that every fits nicely

This looks really great. And for what it's worth I grew up right near Oshkosh. Lots of army vehicles just lined up along Highway 41.

Shame about the part quality, but the kit looks like it will be awesome when done. I think its a shame that none of the offerings of these kind of vehicles in scale form get great reviews. So many small parts, not big chunks of armour plate etc.
Anyways I look forward to seeing this progress as I also like these modern vehicles as they make great modelling subjects.

That is bloody awesome mate. Really top notch.
Bet you could really blow the mind if you took a Drill-Bit and tweaked the Vent Holes on barrel and the barrel end itself (ream end out).
See, I have been playing with far too much teeny, teeny, teeny PE now with the Chief, I talk loony stuff about getting all smaller in detail
Great job and can't wait for painting and weathering.

I'm calling this one done for the moment. Could do with a bit more weathering but boy got burnt out on it.
I might come back to touch on it more down the track. More pics in gallery.
All in all, a very cool build. I very much enjoyed the challenge.
