Ok guys a Star Wars SIG (Long Term)

Starting May the 4th running until December 18 2015
This SIG can be anything Star Wars, in any scale. The New Movie is scheduled for release on Dec 18

so lets celebrate Sci Fi Fans

No prizes - Just for the love of Star Wars and the Fun of modelling.

Would love to build a Slave 1, if I can find one at a reasonable price.

Heard about Bandai putting out the New Kits, do you know, are they good kits Lee?

Hi guys an update on SIG guidelines.

Scratch Builds most certainly welcome as long as it is Star Wars and not fictional. Sorry no Shelf Queens, plenty of time for a Start to finish build on this one.
Also build as many as you like!!

Fine moulds 1/72s are still around on Ebay and aren't crazy expensive yet if you shop. $50-60 US that's for the X-wings.
I just bought one on Hobby Link Japan for $27. So if you look you can still find them for a decent price.
The Falcon is loonie expensive at 1/72, but the 1/144 is not too bad and is a gorgeous little kit.

The 1/48 X-wings are crazy and I'd never pay what they want for them. They aren't worth it. At least not to me, I'll never play party to collector ass"&les anyway.
I've seen the Bandai offerings. I'll build one of the older MPC kits before I'll build one of those.

Finemolds all the way - I'm pretty p*ssed off that the new bandai star wars kits are more like toys than actual model kits - very unfortunate.

Just had a thought.

leading up to May the 4th If anyone wishes, they could do a kit review on what they are planning to build.
Lee has mentioned that he may do a review on the Bandai Kits.

Tis a good plan, though some of the kits will be pretty old.

Never entered any builds SIG's or GB's. Could this be the time to dust of the Fine Molds 1/48 Snowspeeder.

A bit daunted if the truth be known,

Ill health, work, etc. Will gen up on previous Sig's/Gb's see if I got the time, skill level

to enter.

Gav I never even thought of that technology...need to search my network and see who has such a beast, one of my kid's friend's dad did a school presentation with a 3D printer
