Problem with Pledge Klear

Post by m0gb0y74 »

Hi,

I have been using Klear for ages and I usually get a great result. On this last model it has dried very patchy and has left a yellowish white layer over the top of many areas of the model making it look like it has sat on a shelf for years and never been dusted! Has anyone had similar problems?

I read on another forum that someone had this issue and that it might have been caused by the bottle being left in the sun and that when they got a new bottle they never had any problems. I don't want to go out and buy another bottle for this to happen again though.

Do you have any other recommendations for a good gloss cote to lay decals on?

James :-)

Yes FUTURE does go Yellow over time !!! while in the bottle.
When My bottle goes... Darker.. its a sign its time for a new one...
Even thou I hate throwing stuff out !!!

Solution ? in your case! not sure...

if your bottle was left in the sun ! then some of it might have started to cure somewhat ?
at the price this stuff is sold at... I would go out and get a new one ! 4$ ? max.

Was your A/B totally Clean ? any residue of what ever you did before could have contaminated it ?

Sorry about your troubles !
all the best to you !

I'd heard that it was good - I think I'll take a look.

I used a brand new Windsor and Newton brush to paint it on.

Across here its about $10 but that's still not too bad a price. I think it has got contaminated to be honest. Ah well, out it goes...
