Hi everybody, this is my 4th aircraft to be built, only just got back into modelling since I was a kid. And, first ever group build so please bear with me.
I haven't really decided which aircraft I am going to depict, I was going to do scat 11 flown by Robin Olds but I am not too keen on the decals that came.
Had some more come today which I like the look of you can see them below. I have also bought a fuel tanker and some figures which I am thinking of using in a diorama. Any way here goes.

Hi everybody, thanks for all the kind comments, I have decided to depict the Arkansas Traveler for my P 38Dday build here are some pics of the plane and pilot Lt James O Finch.

Hi everyone. dry brushed and weathered the cockpit, waiting for some seatbelts before I fit the seat. some really nice detail on the side panels and behind the seat.

Hi everyone sorry its been a bit of a while since I have posted anything been away on holiday and stacked out with work. Any way here is a update built the undercarriage resin set first time working with resin and added the pe for it as well built the fuselage and primed it with alclad. had a nightmare trying to fit the after market cockpit ended up using the kit parts.

Also removed the intakes on top of the engines and added resin parts also the in take on the side are from the resin kit.

Hi all here is another up date, built the weapons packs and painted them, painted the turbo outlets, painted the invasion stripes. Painted and fitted the nose guns.

P-38 was the company's attempt to meet the requirements of the US Army Air Corps' Circular Proposal X-608 which called for a high-altitude interceptor capable of 360 mph and reaching 20,000 ft. within six minutes. Competing against designers from Bell and Curtiss, Hall Hibbard and Kelly Johnson at Lockheed produced a radical design that was unlike any previous fighter. Believing that two engines were necessary to meet the USAAC's requirements, they created an aircraft that placed the engines and turbo-superchargers in twin tail booms.

Hi all here is another update nearly finished the fuel truck, fixed the decals to the aircraft, had a bit of a nightmare with the decals I wanted to use every time I tried to get them off the backing sheet the rolled up into a ball, ended up using the Scat decals.
