Well the kit went together without any real issues. Some things could bet better fitting or be the correct shape when you have to meet two pieces together. I've done a bit of filling and sanding but I've decided I really must learn to walk before I run, so I'll leave that to you professionals for now Looks like it's a tail sitter so I have to remember to weight the nose. Just a few bits and pieces to go and then on to the new microscale decals.

Looking awesome there vyper!!! You could put some lead in the nose cone and putty it in before glueing all together!

Thanks, I just need to pop down to the local fishing tackle shop and pick up some shot. It's strange how they don't tell you that you need to weight it, so luckily I hadn't already glued the nose on otherwise I'd be stuck Have you decided on what replacement decals you're going to use?

Cheers, yes there is so much choice out there but you do occasionally end up buying a kit in 2014 that was produced in 1995 so it's a horrible fit and full of raised detail (not mentioning any names Revell F/A-18C Swiss, horrible kit)

What I need is a database of the kits production dates so I can steer clear of the old stuff as my skills aren't good enough at the moment to be messing about with filling and putting in detail. Then again you're probably not guaranteed that the newer kits aren't just as bad

Does anyone know if the replacement decals also include the decals for the missiles etc? as these are shocking as they just will not wrap around and stick I've tried Mirco Sol, Tamiya X20A but they are rubbish decals and won't go on properly. I'm already not a big fan of doing decals and these Academy ones are really trying my patience

Is Mr Mark Softer Neo any good? or do you know of any other brand which is easily obtainable in the UK that will make any decal from any manufacturer conform and stick?

Yes the aggressor is a sweet paint job. I think you should get 2 kits and do both colours

Well whilst I'm waiting for my decals to arrive, I've built the Shuttle and I've just started the F14

The decals arrived so I made a start. It's so nice to have decals that stick on their own as well as react to micro sol Well it's no longer a Razorback and will now be known as a Fighting Lobos

Almost finished piecing them both together. The fit is pretty poor, but that was to be expected. I have to hunt down the Blue colors for the one, they are almost impossible to find. The black and white one should be done shortly!

At last it's complete, there are a few things I would do differently but it's all good practice. I'm not happy with the canopy as it has big glue mark just behind the seat and I forgot to put the HUD in The replacement decals were a dream to work with but they are so delicate and fragile hence why there isn't one around the intake
Well my shelf is beginning to fill up and there's plenty more space, so on to the next one. Think it will be the Gripen and that should arrive tomorrow

Thanks It's not a bad build just watch out for the top and bottom wing halves as they don't sit flush. The engine thing at the back isn't the same shape as the fuselage and neither is the nose so you will have to shape them if you want them perfect (as you can see I couldn't be bothered )

I'll claim the kit accurately depicted the design flaws of the F-16!
