Poundland Super Glue

Has anyone tried the Superglue Poundland sell? Its branded as "Tool Box" and comes in yellow packaging with 4 small 7g bottles. Its says on the back that it contains Cyanoacrylate so I presume it is a bona fide CA / superglue.

I noticed they also sell a two part epoxy that comes with a little yellow clamp.

Have any of you lads tried this cheap stuff and is it any good?

I've not tried that particular stuff, but I got some of the cheap stuff Modelzone does and I'm quiet happy with it. I've a bit of a query tho. All the CA I've used, loctite, zap-a-gap et al, seem really good when fresh, but then the drying time seems to increase after a while. But if I start using another bottle for a bit, then go back to the original bottle, it's back to how it was when new?! Any clues?

Ugh the superglue from places like Poundland is pretty crap. I bought a load of it once as it was cheap, and yeah it kinda works, but the cheap caps get blocked very easily and the tubes are prone to leaking. If you use CA for any kind of diorama work etc then its fine as its so cheap, but I didn't find it so good for actual modelling.

Toolstation 99p each in thin and thick viscosity the cap doesn't block either, comes in a proper bottle too

I always use poundshop superglue its not the best but its does the job, rather buy that than pay stupid price for the zap a gap or the other stuff I am a cheap skate though lol

Yep, am using the poundland stuff on the build of my Albatross D V and it's pretty good but a little thin. However if you use it from a mixing palette it gels quite nicely.

Yep... All my builds to date are held together with the poundland CA glue.
I have only just brought some Humbrol liquid poly and a bottle of proweld because I'm a "get it everywhere" type of builder and get sick of having to unstick everything after a short build session.
My hands and fingers look terrible especially if you having to shake hands and greet lots of folks with the "fingerprints removed" look...

Good luck and just remember to apply it with restraint " unlike me, do as I say not as I do.. etc etc..." As it is thin as mentioned in an earlier post.

Personally if I can get what I need I poundland I will its modelling and at the end of the day if it does the job why go and pay out stupid prices for things for just the name some things are needed to pay the price but modelling can get very expensive if you don't cut some corners
