Dragon Stug III G wading muffler (Tunisia)

Post by Noobmodeler521 »

Hello all fellow scale model builders :hi: :hi:

I am new to ism but not new to the hobby and want to say this looks like another great community of people who seem to encourage others on their builds :D

Anyway this is a build I had finished recently and happened to win third place for in my category :) I thought I would love to share it with you all :D This is a StuG III G and I did based in North Africa specifically Tunisia. I did a lot of research on what the tanks would have looked like from weather as well as what it would have carried. I am happy with my result and hope you all enjoy it as much I have. :D :D :D

Wow. I am impressed.

My only criticism is because I was in an armoured unit and has to do with 'assorted field tools' and I have seen this on MANY models, but in r/l, it was our practice in 2d ACR to NOT put the shovels etc on the outside of the vehicles even though they are accoutered with mounting points/brackets etc. Granted the model looks spiffy with all the gear present and this one was no exception, it just wasn't done in the US Military when I served. But this is my own belief and perhaps would have earned you negative points in the contest, so do not take this as bible.

On the other hand, I am JEALOUS of your skill at weathering and wear. My goodness I can only hope to get so good!
