Tamiya Sd.Kfz. 222 and Dragon Cavalry in France 1/35

I've read about the Ultimate concrete wash. Seems to be a great product, so I'm going to get me one of those. I think I'll try the water effect on another dio. I've already put so many hours into this project that I don't want to ruin it now by noobing around... Where can I see your result of the Italeri fountain?

It got completely mashed in my latest move, sadly
Hamilkar Barkas used it on a chimney for a factory dio that he did, as well. Works wonders.

Too bad, mate. A least you didn't spend too much money on it. By the way, here's another update for my dio:
I painted the figure sitting on the Sd.Kfz. 222, or "Frankenstein", as felisbarcinonensis called him earlier.

Along the painting process I gradually took a strange dislike on the figure until I realized why: I know that guy.... Of course!

It's Dolph Oberreich, former member of the Nazi boygroup "The Blitzkrieg Boys" . Before Dolph left the band to join the Wehrmacht, their biggest hits were "I want it the Führer's way" and "Hitlerjugend one more time".

I'm not too happy about the fact that Dolph is now sitting right in the middle of my dio, but what can I do?

HAHAHAHAHA, the commentary is awesome. Masterbox makes a set of Women during WWII. I have it - still haven't opened it. A few of those lovely ladies would look pretty amazing on here!

Here's the last update on my dio. I've finally found the time to paint the other cavalry man.

This figure probably didn't turn out as good as the first one, but I really wanted to finish this project so I thought this is good enough.

I've also added ivy on the stone wall and some more foliage in the background. The stuff is from a company called Mininatur (I think in some countries the company's name is Silflor). GREAT STUFF! Honestly, I've never seen anything this realistic and to scale. If you haven't tried it yet, go get yourself some. It's definitely worth the money.

Anyhow, so the dio's finished and I can say that I'm very proud of it now. My goals were to arrange the objects in the dio in an interesting way, not to use a flat surface again but go for a rather tilted terrain and to make the whole thing look as realistic as possible. In my opinion I've achieved these goals.
