Hi guys from Australia

Post by Tangles »

First of all thanks to Lee and Paul for a stack of cool information on youtube, can't help not missing any number of videos from you guys when searching for modelling subjects so well done on your efforts. I'm a recent "rebirther" into modelling after 40 years away and am having a blast. It's a little challenging for me as I live reasonably remotely in Australia (which, in itself, is pretty remote. lol) that has one toy/hobby shop in town. The good thing is he is new so he's keen to get in the good stuff, so we'll see how that pans out.

I'll build anything, but my passion is Aircraft, although I have just finished my first ever armour kit and had a blast so I'm putting that level pegging with aviation at the minute. I'm not a rivet counter by any means, so if you feel the need to count mine I'm sure you'll only be amusing yourself. lol But I do encourage any discussion on anything I post, no worries.

Anyway, this forum looks pretty cool, I'm a member elsewhere and they have been a wonderful resource for support and assistance through the initial, stumbling weeks finding my feet in modelling again. I hope this forum is equally as valuable a resource. Maybe I can offer some assistance to someone one day, when my expertise improve.

Anyway, hope your weekend is going chipper, good gluing! :thumb2:
Cheers, Simon.

Thanks for the link Gav, I've saved it in my bookmarks, you have Wingnut Wings across the ditch too hey? I've been looking at them pretty closely. Would love to tackle one of those bad boys one day. I'll suss out your builds too mate.
I've only just started back in the game, as I said, but have logged a build and a half on my photobucket if you or anyone want to have a look, fine by me. Still very much in experimentation stages with practicing modern techniques learned from the internet. So some of it may appear ott. No descriptions in there because I was shipping them to another site for review. But you get the picture.

Welcome Simon. I just found BNA Model World and it's great for those things you can't get locally. And yeah this has been a really helpful place for me as I'm learning. Heaps of experience and help whenever you need it.
