revell 1:35 V3000s + trumpeter flak 37

Post by ww2hispanomodels »

Here there's my project for the GB. As I said, I'm gonna build a revell 1:35 kit and also a trumpeter kit from the same scale. My idea is to build a german antiaircraft truck with this two kits and then I'll put some british paratroopers near the truck. I'll use two kits from paratroopers of Masterbox ( the second kit has no photo because I got it from a cyberhobby ( dragon) kit. The kits:

Right now, I have the truck half build ( the engine and this part), which I only used glue and the pieces of the kit and I also have the flak 37 built from a long time ago but I'll repaint it.

This should be good, best of luck and enjoy the build  .

Have you got any reference pics of this vehicle with the 37 flak or is it a what if build?

I've really looking forward to these. :thumb1:
Both of these pieces are things that I haven't built enough of.
I haven't built any AA guns in fact. :eeek:

That is true, but that's because first of all I had exams on June and then I didn't know which model kit use

Here is what I've done in the last 24 hours. As you can see, the driver part is most done, except from the doors. For the moment, it looks cool :D

Image

The roof part is not fixed because of I'll paint the seat. I'll paint the engine too.

Image

This morning, looking for photos, I found that some ford V3000 had that kind of antenas in the front bumper, so I decided to make two of them for the kit because revell didn't make that pieces.

Image

The build is very simple and cheap, I only used a copper string ( I cutted two little pieces) and two little balls to do necklaces and bracelets from an old box that my sister had at home.

Image

Image

As you can see, the result is nice and in the truck looks realistic. When I'll paint it, this antenas will look very cool!

Great job on the distance markers, they were there,to judge if the vehicle could fit through a gap.

very cool idea :) i have the ford truck in my stash aswell, my grandfather drove one of these in the war.
those icm kits are quite complex but i built two of their latest car kits in the last time and despite their complexity the assembly is quite easy and everything looks superb. i see it is the same with the ford truck.

I finished the building on Sunday and I will start painting in 2 days. Tomorrow I'll go to buy washes, oil paints... I'm gonna start with all this expert things. The main reason that I didn't post anything ( i'll post some photos this week) and continue is because it's hard, to me and to the paints, to work in my bedroom with 29'5ºC some parts of the day

Well, now in the temperature is at 31ºC but as there's a lot of moisture because of the Mediterranean sea and the weather, the "heat sensation" is between 36 and 40ºC, and I don't live in Sevilla or Cordova for example, where the temperature is higher.
Let's continue with the work. The photos of the model more or less finished building. As you can see, I add some extras like ammo, an mg 34, one mauser, some helmets...

Image

As you can see, I also assembly some figures, I still have to assembly two more.

If you built some trucks from ICM, this will be the same, because it's a ICM kit!

I finished to paint the interior of the ford. As you can see, it's a basic painting, with Vallejo red leather and panzer grey. I also used a little bit of AK earth effects with AK white spirit on the seat to look like dust.

I aslo painted the control part and put the decals.

Great layout of the truck/flak combination.
The painting of the dash board dials is terrific looking.
I think the composition of the derelict truck with the British Paras is a fantastic idea.
Keep building and having Fun Brother.

True  I'll try to make a dio in 20 days, more or less, for the sci-fi GB this september, another big challenge
This summer I wanted to build a lot of models but this month I had problems with the airbrush and, as in this month most of the shops were closed I couldn't do what I really wanted :wall:
