Hello, from a Mancunian Canuck

Post by Migrant »

Hi everyone, nice to be here. I'm a Mancunian, moved here to western Canada in 1993 (where oddly, I get to see more Premier League football on TV than I ever did back home). Although I miss the UK and try and get back every year or so to see family and friends, Calgary is a pretty nice city to live in. Gets cold in Winter though, where temperatures can drop to -40C and the snow seems to last for 6 months, but it is a good time to model :)

Raised on Airfix, FROG and Matchbox 1/72 aircraft kits, they're still a staple part of my modelling diet and what I consider my favorite scale, although I build occasionally in 1/48 and 1/144. I really like armour too but have so much to learn about weathering and suchlike in this genre.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know everyone :cheers2:
Mike.
