Nevs Tiger 1 Mid Production

Post by Nev »

For this SIG I am going to build the Dragon Tiger 1 Mid Production W/Zimmerit. Really looking forward to doing this Kit which I won from a monthly prize draw!

Plan to make a start once I finish *Cough* my 6 Wheel build... That's the plan anyway

Nice choice Nev be good to see your work.
This GB will be a seriously good one to follow. In my opinion the best to date with some gorgeous Tigers.
You can run, but you'll only die tired!

Tub and Suspension done God I'm so slow as real life got in the way

Zim sides attached.

Image

This panel had a little nub to cut away as it is for a command Aerial i believe. Would have been far simpler to have a nub you attach to the sprue, if and when needed! I had to melt the smooth area with TET and score some Zim back in.

Image

I'm gonna call this battle damage or put on in the factory by Egor the Zimmerit apprentice. Hopefully won't see much of it when painted :wtf:

I had to do the very same thing to mine Nev, yours looks neater than mine did do I'm sure that it will hide under the paint. I can't really see mine.

Looks great so far
I think this kit is very similar to the Carius i am building
But i didn't have that nub on the side
I don't know if you have the shovel on the front though
In my kit i had to remove the brackets for it as it doesn't have the shovel but i only cut them off and used a scribing tool to make the ridges again
Good luck with the rest of the build

Thanks Mark. :cheers2: It had a lot of sprue parts that seem to be for other variants! They were marked in blue, so I cut all those off so not to get even more confused. I seem to remember a sprue with lots of funny shaped shovels so you may be right!

Could be
I think that was a small sprue with about 3 or 4 different shovels
But that is dragon for ya
All mix and match with the sprues and though instructions
But some great looking models in the end

Friendly reminder, we only got 10 days left on this build. Do you think you're going to make it?

Hi Thanks,

Unfortunately real life has gotten tough this past few months! She is built but I doubt I can get painted in time and I don't want to rush. When things get back to normal and my health improves I will finish it for Coen.

Hi Nev

Just picked up on the health issue.
Hope your okay (well obviously not okay health wise but you know what I mean mate.....).
I to am now not gonna finish my build (change of job and work involved in move from one to another job is just gonna eat up spare time).
Better to take your time and get back on this build when your health is back to normal and your ready.
I have not worded it well, but basically, take care mate.
