Tamiya 1/35 Tiger 1 Early production (Finished)

Post by Oper8or »

I didn't get to do photos of the build process but here it is. I tried to do mud on the tracks and I think it turned out okay for my first build since I was a young teen (now I'm 43). :)

I didn't notice the fingerprints until I took the photos. DANG IT. Now its worse. Grrrr...

That's a fine piece bud. You're being too hard on yourself.
For your first few builds when getting back into the hobby or just starting out, it's more about the process and the experience that you gain than the finished result.
Learning how to use the tools, paints, methods is more important that anything.

The last build that I finished had a nice big fingerprint on it too and I've been banging away at the hobby for the last 8 years.
No build is perfect and every build will be better than the last in some way.

As Coen says, take pride in your work whatever you may think of it. Learn from where you see shortcomings, and there will come a time when you feel happier with your work.

But overall that's not a bad piece, its well painted, and the weathering looks good. So learn from what you see as negatives about it, and apply that to the next model.

Good work!

P.S. I moved the thread to the Gallery section since this isn't a WIP thread. Cheers

Nice job mate. Every one you do will help you to get better and as Mike says even the vets make cockups from time to time. I think the paintwork is well done and weathering looks good. Be proud mate and the next one will be even better :thumb2: :cheers2:

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate the comment. Makes me proud of the work I put into it.

On a side note. Is this area where finished builds go? I wasn't sure.
