UK MK5 CHEIFTAIN

Post by martin57 »

This was a nice build from start to finish , no real problems ,would recommend this kit to anybody starting out to build A. F.Vs.
There is a bit of a story behind this build , the lads are on manoveres in germany driving through and old factory site , to test the skills off the crew in tight places, so if thay hit anything it would not matter much .
Hope you all like it . :cheers2:

Superb. I've been wanting to do a Chieftain for a long time.

I wonder if I could trouble you to ask....I've never done a diorama before so I have absolutely no clue what to do, where to go to get the bits and how to go about making one...I know they are all different, so rather than ask generally how you go about building a diorama, I wonder if you could tell me how you made yours?

Are they market pieces, or real twigs/grass/dirt? How did you do the walls? Again market or self made with? Moss? Grass? What about those two pieces of wood? Market or lollipop sticks or something? Little barrels I guess are market bought...what about the corrugated iron?

Thanks in advance

Epic build thread!

I just have to follow up here, man I loved the build thread, the cardboard Lego packing paper which you turned into congregated steel was brilliant! And then the beer cans into front fenders/mud flaps was the perfect touch! I bought this same model myself, and the build was great, just like you stated in your build thread!
