Looking good. Loving the weathering. Can I ask a rookie question please? How did you do the chipping? I'm looking for new techniques beyond washing and dry-brushing and your chipping just looks so good.

Hi Stokesy, I used Vallejo German cam black/brown for the chipping effect. You need to do irregular patterns for this, less is more!! areas where you would get increased where such as, engine deck, turret and where the crew would climb up onto the vehicle.
For this I used a fine sponge with the paint. You need to dab most of the paint off the sponge before applying it to the said area.

Just to add to the discussion about how to do the chipping. I got sent a free bottle of one of Mig's range when I ordered a load of pigments. It's great, it has just the right red/brown/black dull shine of steel that has had paint chipped off but then continues to be worn to stop rust forming. Just need to be careful not to go "oh wow!" and use too much This is it here if anyone wants to check it out.

Well been off work for a week with a bad back. Was bed bound for 4 days and going out of my mind!!! But in the process I developed a new skill. Building my figures and painting them on my back. It was difficult at times sanding them down and getting bits in my eyes. However curing the boredom was just the tonic. Hope you like the results.















They are not fully complete, weathering, slings, helmet straps and I need to glue the heads on.
