Printing decals

Post by newpapajack »

Hi guys,

just wondering if there's anyone out there able to print custom decals?

I'm keen to start a build of a Stampe SV4c in 1/72 but in a particular livery of the plane i flew earlier this year . I have some fairly hi-res images of the markings.

Image

or any ideas where i might be able to get this done?

cheers in advance :)

If you can draw the artwork in a computer then the paper is available to print them out on a normal inkjet. You can get the paper from Amazon and others, a quick google search will show sources up. Have not used it myself but probably worth experimenting with.

I have use the home printer/decal paper in the past. They work well but they are very thick and they need to be sealed carefully before application.

In your case I would mask and spray the stripes, make a template from frisket and spay the large markings and go the decal route for the script on the tail. Good Luck!
