well i finally got a little bench time today,so started with the cockpit. Carpet monster attempts it's first snatch of the project as i drop one of the control sticks.
After a frantic search the piece was located and is now securely taped to a peg. :D

As this is my first time using photo-etch i discovered a few things, first is when using the Ultimate photo-etch placer it requires only a gentle touch to pick-up the piece(still picking white bits out of p.e grill see photo).

second is just how small an amount of super glue is needed (i noticed that after i took the photo).

third watch the "how to guides" on the ism channel they would have negated the first two and saved so much time.

Image

i also learnt that going slowly and gently when removing the plastic in preparation for photo-etch save loads of time later.

the cockpit tub is cleaned off ready

well thats all for now

forgot this picture of the little tank located in the landing gear bay.

Image

i used true metal aluminium on it before placing the decal using micro sol and set i did have a little difficulty getting it to stay where i wanted but that was probably due to my lack of skill rather than anything else.

thats all for now
