Post by Icemannique »

So i started my first model airplane ever...read EVER. Boldly go where no man ...:

Started building.

I am waiting paints to come next week. After that i am going to paint interior and detailing it in PE.
Never used PE before so i am nervous how that goes (except some easy plates and nets). :wtf:

That's a lovely looking engine you've got there. Top drawer!
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Just got my paints, i painted interior with Mig Ammo 220 Zinc Chrome inerior Green.

Little weathering.

Interior going in place.

Interior details.

Interior have some photo-etches in their places and some of them dont even show in the pictures.
But those PE's where pain in the Butt (sorry language). After few cigarettes and some nervous breakdowns i got them in place.

Next begins outside clean up and seam handling.

Plane is coming up slowly but steady.

Black primer sprayed (Ultimate Primer black).

Darker shader color sprayed (Mig-227 sea blue + mig-032 black + bit of dark gray)
Image

Lighter shader color sprayed (mig-227 sea blue + mig-047 white + bit of light grey)
Image

Only light mist from main color sprayed (mig-227 sea blue)

May be i spray another layer underside of wings, but lets see until it is cured.
Any comments so far ?

There it is, only couple lights missing and two gannons are broken (ordered evergreen rods to replace them).

Nice one mate. Beautiful tonal work. Its amazing how such a dark colour can still yield such texture.

First class and then some!
