1/35 Evergreen Trees

Post by Darklen »

Can't seem to find any decent 1/35 evergreens (at least ones that don't cost an arm & a leg) so made my own. Usually use asparagus fern but couldn't find any locally. Found some plastic "fernish" stuff at a craft store here called Michaels. Horrible light green color to start. It's just a plastic fern with static grass already on it. Painted it with Tamiya Deep Green (XF26). Lots of trimming and sorting. Used an actual pine branch from a back yard tree. I just CA Glued the branches right on to the twig. Tried to drill holes but the wood just splintered. Took about 2 1/2 hours total, most of it prep work. Looks a lot better than I thought it was going to. Will do a YouTube tutorial on this as I'm going to do a few smaller ones. This one's about 5"-6" tall.
