Peter Cushing used to paint miniatures and apparently Robin williams did as well.

Frank Sinatra and Merle Haggard - model railroads - they say anyway.

And then there's Emmet Smith, Dallas Cowboy running back - I heard he has or had a large model railroad setup too.

There are probably quite a few that are too reliant on their image to admit it, for some reason a fair percentage of people think it is something embarrassing although they probably dont have a clue what the hobby actually entails.
John, whats on my bench? Usually a mess and a couple of different models a week.

Mike Meyers was on something like Conan years ago when he hadn't put out a movie since Love Guru and when asked what he'd been doing he said he had been building scale models of RAF stuff. Said he was obsessed with WWII and scale modeling. I guess his parents were both RCAF (Canadian RAF).

The one Mythbusters guy, Adam Savage has and does make models. I saw him on youtube doing some BSG figures, with one of the Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrel) from that series. Adam has also made models of the Bladerunner gun.

Rumour has it that in the UK - DJ & 'TFI Friday' host Chris Evans is a bit of a modeller.
Someone once mentioned that James May (Captain Slow) makes kits too!

Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones is a huge fan, especially German WW2 tanks, she is a regular on few Tiger forums under the name "Margethesarge". Watch robots pick this up and post on some stupid clickbait website next... this is a joke, obviously.

Actually no clue how celebrities would think it is embarrassing because of image issues... but logic is wierd in that world, I mean it is OK to go to rehab for coke addiction and release sex tapes, but oh my gawd no way can we admit we build miniature planes. I mean you dont come back from that. /s

Thanks for the article, those kits look great. I still can't get used to the 'thin' Peter Jackson though. I saw so much of the old version on the LOTR behind the scenes stuff, it still trips me up when I see more recent pics. I hope he's still planning to shoot the Dambusters remake too.
