Airfix 1/72 Sopwith Pup

I initially was going to shelve this kit and keep it for parts. I bought 6 of these little kits, different types of planes, and all of them were missing parts. After almost tripping over them while straightening out my work space, I decided to see which one of them was salvageable...this was the only one with "most" of the pieces intact....

Yeah...There's was a Airfix 1/72 Fokker Dr1 ( my favorite plane ) and it was missing 80 percent of it's pieces!

She's all done. Jeesh this thing was tiny! I don't know how you 1/72 builders do it but you have my respect. I think I'll be seeing crossed eyed for a month!

Thanks brother. I bought them from a lady on YouTube. She had them listed as.."Unopened...Never used...In Plastic." So I figured,"why not." Plus,they were in my budget so I bought them. Bad move!

When they arrived, I was excited as I initially wanted to make a WW1 Dogfight diorama. So, when I popped the box, I was in for a surprise.
Boxes were all crushed. Opened. Smelled of cat pee etc. Each kit was "used" and all of them were missing parts. Three of them were boxes loaded with used sprues! I contacted her and EBay and immediately got my money back. I believe she sent that crap out and was hoping I wouldn't fight her for a refund.

Anyway...This was the "only" kit that I could salvage from them and even this was missing the bottom wing,tires, tail and axle.
She worked out in the end. My ugly duckling.....LOL

Thanks brother. First time I tried simulating wood grain. I've done it a few times since but I am fond of this asit was my first time building a plane let alone painting wood.
