Lack of 1/35 Hueys

Post by countzero99uk »

Is there a reason why i cant find more than one 1/35 UH-1D model?

There seems to just be the dragon on, and i think its out of production atm.

Just wondering why.

Thanks.

Is there a reason why certain things are done in certain scales?

1/35 is traditionally an armour scale with Tamiya being responsible for its wide spread adoption. Some aircraft are available in 1/35, usually if they operate with ground forces e.g. gliders, recon aircraft and helicopters. There must be a reason there are not more of these on the market and it is probably because they don't sell that well. I would love to see a new tool Huey in 1/35.

I had the revell kit, it was one sick puppy, ended up in the round file cabinet marked as garbage, too many problems with it. Fuselage was as straight as a boomerang.

You must have gotten a bad kit from Revell. I have had four of these and all were perfect. Just make sure you get the attack version and not the civilian police version. The civilian version does not have a crew interior. These are all 1/32

There will be a completely new 1/35 Huey coming from kitty hawk at some pint in the future. And if they will release one then I'm sure hobby boss or trumpeter will bring one out soon enough
