Help needed again for JU52

Post by sanovabeach2 »

Hey everyone, I'm currently helping a friend with his Revell JU-52. The Manual states the use of these colors:

1. Beige
2. Light Olive

Colors available here in the Philippines are only Tamiya, do you know the Tamiya equivalent to this or a mix?
Thanks!

It appears there are no direct matches, you may have to do a comparison by eye on their paint charts.

I have just this minute bought this kit

If it is the 1/144 it might be a little fiddly for a first timer.

I don't think there is a direct comparison from Revell to Tamiya, but if you visit Phildafish's website he has some extensive conversion charts on there... you may be able to work that way..

If anyone can find a match it would be Paul.
I think that he actually has every colour in Tamiya's line up.

Just done some cross referencing from the Vallejo colour chart - light olive comes up as XF65- J.A. Green/Field Green

The beige is a bit more difficult, Tamiya don't have a direct match, but RAL have, RAL 1019 grey beige.

Hope this helps.

As said there are no direct matches

Beige i would use xf57 buff and add white to lighten it

The light olive as daishi said the xf65 JA green lightened with white again will be your best bet.

In the U.K. I've got the XF65 as Field Gray, but I'm not sure if Tamiya release it under different names in different parts of the world.

Revell,s Arado kit tell,s you to use light olive for the cockpit, as this is supposed to be RLM Gray then Tamiya XF22 would be my guess, as for the beige I would agree with Paul, cheer,s Dave
