Interest in a Summer SciFi sig

Post by Twokidsnosleep »

Hi guys and gals
I am going to host a non ISM Summer Sci Fi Sig June1 to Aug 31 if we can get enough interested parties to participate
Thought I better put up an announcement now so we can test the waters for interest
Figures, Movies, Fantasy Subjects ???else. There are lots of available kits or scratch builds.

Please respond to this post if you are wanting to do a SciFi build and what you might want to build

Report in Space Cadets and I will give you a number for the door prize draw :D

Hi Scott :hi:

Is it Sci-fi only or do real space craft count? Really want to do a Shuttle, it’s also the 50 year anniversary of the moon landing.

Fictional Sci Fi only Claire.
Now if you were to do a Moonraker Shuttle or one from Armmegadeon that would be ok
There are so many subjects, that last PanAm craft you did would work. Oh how about one of those super weird cosmonaut figures by industriamechanika....those are cool :
Sign in and figure out a subject later, we will have a fun time in this sig I promise you...and there will be prizes too, just working those out now. It would be lovely to have you along :D

I do like this one from Halo
Image

BUT not released yet and I don't have any sci fi in my stash..... Sacrebleu what is the wold coming too. I like Sci Fi in books and movies yet have never bought a kit. Mainly cause the interesting ones look toy like on the box art or I'm not sure what the scale will mean in relation to total size. The star wars ones have caught my eye, but not enough as yet.

Woohoo! #9 was my uniform number in college! Volleyball that was, not hockey. At 6’ 5” and about 170lbs, I wasn’t exactly build for hockey, plus I never could skate!

Now to just finish that WWI build....

Moonraker Shuttle is one I’ve been planning to do for a while, or may do something else Sci-fi - lots of choice here as I do like my Sci-fi
Wonderful, super happy to have you on board....you will find something and it will be awesome of that I have no doubt

Hi Chris :D
YES a full on scratch build of a fictional space subject is perfectly fine :thumb2:
Let me know if you are a go and I can give you a cadet number...that # is for a prize draw bTW ;)

I haven't been on the forum much recently but I'll be here for this build. I think I have one or 20 kits to choose from.

Is that a yes or a no  :
Sorry mate, still undecided. I shall have a look around to see if something catches my eye.
:cheers2:
