A.F.V Club Mk.11c 'Achilles' winter dio.

The baggage set has been mounted on cocktail sticks and planks then undercoated with Canbrush grey primer. The Achilles has had its final assembly after the weathering I used several washes for this, grease and grime, rust, burnt umber, red earth and black panel line wash.

The final assembly has had the crew hatches added along with the shells to the rear turret and the tracks fitted. The baggage will be next to be added and then its crew painting and preparing the base.

The baggage set has been painted then given a wash could not resist dry fitting the large rear section to the tank

Thanks for looking in and your comments not sure if I will use all of the stuff from the baggage set there's so much of it so will need to see how it goes. The figures and dio base loom on the horizon.

The baggage has been added to the hull which just about finishes this part of the build off. Think I will make a start on the base next.

Dio base has been assembled from the parts in the box the door to the house has been fitted the shutters and yard doors will go on after painting id finished.

I agree with Kaleb, the completed model will indeed fill me with nausea but then, jealousy is a terrible thing....

I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the diorama though

I have not forgotten this build just got side tracked on another project but here is progress on the base so far. The white bits are a base for the snow powder yet to be added.

Nice work.

The Achilles looks fab and I love winter dios. There's so much you can do with the snow and it doesn't have to be with expensive bespoke products. A good old tub of Tetrion (other makes are available) from B&Q and you're off to the races. Mix in some brown paint and you've got mud, some black for slush. LOVELY!

The doors/shutters have been added after painting with mahogany and weathered. Made a start on the figure set by assembling them and then getting some undercoat on.
