I can totally recommend the flexy CA as being very strong and not as brittle.

A new review for the best CA glue ever.
https://michtoy-from-the-front.blogspot ... ulian.html.

My own bottle on which the cap split due to my own inexperience with the bottle. I should let it sit for a second to let the glue or air bubble disapate before putting the top back . ON as air bubbles tends to rise spilling a small amount of glue and if you put the top back on too quick. You end up with a build up in the cap and screwing the cap back on after doing this a few times results in the cap cracking at the at the top of the thread. I have still been using mine like that for months now. The glue is getting thicker, but it is still usable. I ordered mine on the 27/11/2017 to give you an idea on life of product.
Buy this stuff and you will never look back !

How do you guys stop, the nozzle from blocking and from it getting thicker? I like the glue, got couple bottles last year, I only really use CA for PE so it's not often used. Every time I go to use it the nozzle is blocked, it takes an age to clear it after use, even when cleared somehow the glue defies gravity and moves back up nozzle, blocking it. I started to do some PE over the weekend and bugger me, nozzle's blocked I had to drill it and the stuffs gone thick so thick is almost impossible to get it out of the nozzle. :wall: The bottle has barely been used and it's now as good as useless, I had to open the second bottle. :wall:

I'm now thinking this will go the same way, in a short while, what a waste of money. :wtf:

Before this I used Zap I had to throw 3 bottles away one of them had not been opened but it it no grab. :wall: Because of the above, I had one more bottle of med Zap, unopened, it still flows but has no grab and the blob I dispensed yesterday is still not set! Another whole new bottle in the bin :wtf:

Kev what I do is this. Cleanliness is the key. Squeeze some onto some waxy paper and place the bottle back upright ( obvious ) wait a little, wipe around the tip with kleenex then a last quiz down the spout if it looks clear put the top on. The new bottles have a needle in it to push down into the spout and keep it clear , but I don't until it looks clear.
No matter what Ca glue you buy shelf life is limited, but In my experience it has good shelf life. Even when it goes thick it can still be used just it's properties alter a little, but it will grab and hold.
I still have a bottle here that has gone thicker and still usable after 3 years admittedly I'm in a dryer climate for 9 months of the year.
VMS have a ca type to cover different situations, but like you said Kev when one doesn't use a lot of it,it doesn't make any sense to buy them all. I just stick with the flexy for now, but if I,m going to build a resin kit I might get the resin CA.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for that mate :th: :cheers2:

I do or have done very similar to be honest. I my experience as I've tried to clear the nozzle it just keeps pulling up more and more, I've even got the needle I was using stuck :wtf: :wall:

What I'm really niffed about is having to throw away what is brand new bottles, never before opened as they no longer work as CA should. The bottle I mentioned I open the other day, the blob has still not fully set :wtf:

I only use the CA to stick the PE to the model, I solder the PE together, so use very little of it. It's such a waste buying different bottles for this and that as it just doesn't last and it's not exactly cheap. I think going forward I'll buy small tubes as it's less of a waste.

If there is a problem with it you should contact Chris at VMS Vantage Modelling Solutions <lKj0X2q_Qouda-smtQi0bw@crm.wix.com> ... I have left glue out as well in a small cup...finger nail size...and it doesn't set either, but as soon as I go use it it does as the two gluing surfaces come together. It might not be as strong like that not being fresh, but it seems to be OK. I have even added more on top of it cause it has thickened a little and it has been fine. But I never did test how strong it was.

Mate the glue that hasn't dried/set isn't VMS, it was from a unopened bottle of Zap!

I bought almost the whole range of Zap glue about 2 years ago, extra thin, thin, medium, thick, kicker and debonder. The thick lasted the longest, worked fine threw that away back end of last year, after no more grab, more than half a bottle. I then tried extra thin, it was unopened, no grab straight in the bin never used, exactly the same with thin, that left one unopened bottle the medium. I then got hold of some VMS about 7 months ago, that has the issue stated earlier worked fine still works but I can't get it out of the bottle. I then opened the last bottle of Zap on Tue this week and yep straight in the bin!

I've now opened my last bottle of VMS which was working fine on Tues, hopefully will for a while, but I'm not holding my breath. I've not opened the Zap debonder and not used the kicker for a while, who knows their probably end up in the bin too!
