I used it on my Panigale and it went down great. I found that putting a little bit less thinners in than what it recommended helps.

Looking great mate! Can’t wait to see it assembled
Cheers for the tip, interesting about less thinner as others have said add more for final wet coat

Painted/decalled the exhaust tonight. Came out pretty good. Base colour is Zero Metal titanium silver which is an awesome metallic paint. Didn't want to do anything fancy so just sprayed Alclad hot metal sepia and a hint of blue.
Image
2K will be going down tomorrow  as had to do some carbon decalling which needs clear coating too, so that held me back a bit.

Accented exhaust, but not overdone
Very exciting to see the decals go on the fairings and see the bike come alive :th:

The clearcoat is done!

Looks great but not perfect, but is anything lol.
Bit of silvering and couple small reactions with the decals.

I've also learnt I need a spray booth as bits of dust swoop down like little dust ninjas

Engine finished (except a couple decals on the clutch)and washed  The clutch was a bit of a bugger to paint, even with a circle template.

For circular patterns I use this template, which comes in really handy.

You have a real steady hand. What paintbrush do you use for that detail painting? I think that is my biggest problem.

The photo is deceiving and I hate detail painting  Used a standard 5/0 brush.
I've got far from a steady hand too 😂😂

I hate it too. I just checked out a 5/0 brush and that is better than what I have so I am going to have to get one. Thanks for the recommendation!

The R1M I was doing next can wait. Will be doing this one black/metallic black, as everyone seems to be doing the red/blue version lol.

Not done much this week. Got a bit deflated as I had to strip the wheels of the Zero Paint. So the new paint job and clearcoat isn't the greatest, but the Blue Stuff tyre decals worked a treat. :D

I had a Zero Paints issue with the Honda wheels. Couldn't save 'em like you did though, mine fell to bits!

Those tyre decals amazing though!

I rarely have problems with Zero Paint. But I think with doing wheels, they're quite awkward to paint everywhere without over doing it.
I soaked them in dot4 overnight, but still had to scrub them a bit.
Eventually used Tamiya LP black then 2K.
At least most of the front wheel will be hidden by the brake discs lol.
Really recommend the tyre decals, far easier to apply than those awful Tamiya dry decals lol.
