So little update again

Seat are done. Kit don't have carbon fider to seat backs, and this was first time for me doing tha First i tried scale motorsports carbon kevlar, but failed twice. Way too britle for me. Then tested one more time. This time renaisansse carbon fibre decal. Get them first try. The can handle lot of punishment So i am quite happy for results for first timer.



Next first time using photo etch seatbelt and ribbon. For that thing in mind results are good. Made couple mistakes, but i will learn for that.

Interior is done for now.

Got little trouble for it. After everything was finished, driver seat belts pop loose. After long battle for them seat get loose. So I fixed seat, but belt is loose. Try to fix them later. I also destroy tire decals by knocked coffey on My workbench. Also one wheel decal was destroyed by me. So not To My finest hour. But no gone gave up.

Put Tamiyas LP clear after decaling. First tack coat was fine, and same in second tack coat. Then put wet coat, and instant fail.





Never happen this before. I think i use allclad aqua closs in the futufe.

And this build maybe continue in future. Never know. I maybe buy new kit, and use body to complete this build

I had the same problem with my Tamiya decals and Tamiya clear. I think I will put it on thinner next time I try but for now I am going to clean and then add decals.

Absolutely sucks, don’t beat yourself up

2k clear is your way to go.
I have not had any issues with it and decals for either Gravity (Spain) 2k or Splash 2k
Aquagloss is ok for clear, like a lower level shine much like kissing your sister

Not gona beating myself. I Know it was bad luck. 2k isn't option atm. Live in apartment, and i have dog, so not option. Will figure something. But now rally/race cars not will build. Will build street cars for now.

Never used the Tamiya stuff and thats more from reading every one elses horror storys of what it can do. Pain in the butt I know but still looking forward to your next build as I just know it will be a great one whatever you choose to do

Yup. Last time im using lp clear over decals. Now i build BMW z8, and after that gona put build thread. Thinking Fujimi EM Lancia Stratos, or go out of my comfort zone, and build Eduard fw190 a5
