Repsol Tamiya CBR1000RR-R 1/12.

Post by LWWales »

Hi guys! I'm building the new Tamiya CBR1000RR-R for the ISM Rising Sun group build on Facebook! I've also decided I'll be doing it as a video build on YouTube.

My Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_LPn3 ... ZasJBS5DQA

I started a little while ago, so there are two parts up on YouTube already, though I do have some pictures for you guys!

I started with the engine, as usual. Here she is on my home made pallet!

Next, I go the frame and swingarm painted and got the back end and rear wheel all attached. I was a little nervous about spray the Zero Paints on the wheels since I ruined some wheels before with it, however, it went well and I had no issues.. apart from running out of paint

And here's a little sneak peek at what I'll be doing in the next video. I got the exhaust painted up and heat stained. I'll be doing some very light weathering using the tamiya weathering set D.

Thanks for looking in! Any feedback is welcomed! :)

Very nice work as always! I'm glad to see you use the same spray booth I do LOL. My only suggestion with the videos is to mix your voice louder.

Thank mate!

I shall! I haven't had much space at the moment since I've been using my phone to record, and by the time I'm done I have no battery left, then I just forget, hahaa. I have another phone now and the camera is just as good, so I'll use pone for photos and one for recording! :thumb1:

Thanks, Kev! (Kevin, I assume?):

I've uploaded part 3! No pictures to go along with it, as I posted these in the previous post. I'll be getting on with the radiator and front end tomorrow, so I'll have some pictures for you guys! :)

This one focuses on the exhaust and heat staining. As always, feedback is welcomed, thank you for taking a look! :)

Sorry I've not been posting much recently! I underestimated how much time making videos would take!

I've got this finished up now and the reveal is here: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=29142

I'm just waiting the final video, too! :D
