Harriers are a lovely aircraft and so interesting. I hope your going to build it soon.
Sadly everything Humbrol has never ended well for me. I just couldn't get them to work.....probably me and my inexperience.

It's no inexperience on your part Digger, I wish I could get half the results you do on your projects. I have tried Humbrol Varnish (it frosted badly) and different other products Humbrol make to no effect. I think I only have a certain joy with the paint is because I still brush paint. Build wise, it might be a while as in the middle of the 'Motorhead' tour truck at the minute.

Found this kit kinda cheap on ebay from Japan.

Saw the movie "Rush" and wanted to have that kit in my build pile

Image

As always the Japanese is very polite and they dont try to ignore or hide things...

That is going to look superb when built. I don't want to sound like an idiot (never stopped me before though) but how come Tamiya and Italeri are both on the box?
Thanks

It's because Tamiya have reboxed a Italeri kit.

At least Tamiya shows the original brand of the kit, which is quite rare. :thumb1:

Those boxes with yellow borders look uncannily like Zvezda ones. Particularly the UAZ 452. Wonder if they've been rebranded??

Exactly what I was thinking.......perhaps a way of getting around the ban on Russian exports. It might be manufactured/reboxed in another country like China now ?

Really nice selection of kits you snagged there.

I picked up some more figures from the Echoes of Camelot series plus a Banshee I liked the look of - the boxes don't show much so I've grabbed images of the figures themselves off the website as well to show how they "should" look once stuck together

    King Arthur...
    Image

Sir Percival - I caved in when I saw the flaming hammer thingy
    Image

And the Banshee 3d printed figure - the plain brown box arrangement could have major advantages when getting stuff past the wife-detector :)

Those are really cool looking! Are you going to try Non-Metallic Metal painting on any of them? I heard it's the new new for figure painting.

I've tried NMM a couple of times and while I get ok results on small areas I just can't get it to work for me on anything larger, so I suspect I'll be sticking to the old fashioned metallic paints for these.

Good day for me today, but had to go miles away to postal depot
I have a lazy mailman who won’t come up an elevator to my office😡
So I had to drive and get two parcels

Very true, but my brownie point account is at a low ebb and I need to save for this next holiday in Adelaide so the missus can catch up with her sister. She wouldn't like it if she had to say to her we can't do stuff cause someone spent it all. Yeah I'd be dead for sure and homeless. Also Kind of got it in my mind to get a hot bench wire foam cutter for Xmas....which is a lot cheaper as much as I want a lathe..... :(

The figures are interesting. You can get Western rocket launchers for them now too 3d printed which would be a nice addition for the group.

Just arrived is a model I've been wanting to build for a very long time.

My dad built this kit when I was about 5, in the '70s, and I always admired it sitting on the shelf in my bedroom among my own poorly made models.

I cant wait to start, and hopefully do this great kit justice. It also came with some extra decals to widen the choices of the finished car.

Little off the beat and path with this one, but it is slow as hell on here so better post before it all gets shut down
          Ya, really.

For the airplane guys needing some nose weight or anyone wanting some weight to a model for feel
These are little self sticking lead weights for golf clubs, 3g each. $10 Cad for eight on Amazon
          Image

You could cut them and apply them in portions as needed for fit
The stickiness is strong as they stay on the surface of a golf club iron being swung and contacting a ball

The red round things are insertable putter weights for the base of my putter…20g each
